Paws dog grooming is an essential part of dog grooming. Paws are sensitive parts of a dog and they face a lot of wear and tear and damage from infections. So they should be taken proper care of. They should be properly cleaned and the nails should be cleanly trimmed regularly and it should be seen that they do not get infected.
Many dog grooming products are available in the market and so there are also many products for paws dog grooming. Paws should be thoroughly cleaned with soap free shampoos and the nails should be trimmed regularly according to the growth rate of your dog as the nail growth rates of different dogs vary. Some dogs need a trim once in a month while some others need a trim in 2-4 weeks.
There are different types of trimmers available and you can choose from them. Like there are the scissor-like trimmers which are used to cut the nails of dogs that are too tiny and delicate. Then there are the claw-style trimmers. There actions are more or less like scissors and they are made up of springs. There are also the guillotine trimmers. They have an advantage over the other trimmers. They are long lasting because their blades can be replaced. There are also filing tools with which you can use to shape you dogâs nails smooth.
If you cut your dogâs nail a bit too short accidentally you can cut the pinkish layer present beneath the dogâs nails which contains a nerve for blood supply. If that layer is cut, the nail starts bleeding and it hurts the dog a lot. In order to stop the blood you can apply a powder called Styptic powder. You can also use flour or insert the dogâs toes into a soap bar. But to avoid this condition altogether you should try to trim the nails just after a bath or you can also apply baby oil.
If your dog has black toe nails you should very careful when you cut them. You should turn the paws of your dog backwards and find the thick growth and cut slowly. If you can not do paws dog training yourself then go to veterinarian. You should start paws dog grooming from puppy hood. In that way they will get used to it and will not detest it when they grow up.
